College Football : Win your conference before you play for BCS title

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Here’s what’s wrong with this Michigan-Ohio State rematch thing:
One team is going to lose.

Which means one team is not going to win the Big Ten title.

But could play for the national championship.

If that bothers anyone else, the e-mails of the commissioners of the six BCS conferences are available upon request. Not that they care. They’ve had nine years to correct this little oversight.

Why would they? Once they saw Nebraska lose by 26 to Colorado in its final regular-season game in 2001, you could see the wheels turning. The scarred ‘Skers didn’t even win their own division but played for the national championship.

Hey, they thought, not a bad racket. Why job the conference out of a $4.5 million payday (at-large BCS money) and a shot at the title on a little technicality like winning a six-team division?

They were convinced further in 2003 when Oklahoma lost the Big 12 title game by four touchdowns — and still played LSU for the BCS title.

Never mind that Colorado got screwed out of a title shot in 2001. Or that LSU still seethes over sharing the ‘03 title. In the commissioners’ big picture, that was a good thing. Because in any given year, Nebraska could be the equivalent of Saturday’s loser here.

The only outrage seems to be that for the first time two teams from one conference (Big Ten) would play for the BCS title. It’s kind of like Microsoft playing a charity pickup basketball game between corporate execs where all the proceeds go to — Microsoft.

In this case more than $20 million would roll into Big Ten coffers, plus a guaranteed national championship. Does that bother anyone else? Are Michigan and Ohio State so much better than the rest that they should have a monopoly on the national championship?

Let the BCS computers answer that question. In half of the six, the Big Ten is rated no better than second. It is ranked fourth in the Sagarin Index and the Anderson-Hester computer.

So much for superiority.

Jim Tressel seemed to talk in circles at Monday’s presser leading up to the Michigan game. He was asked if he thought a team should have to win its conference to play in the BCS title game.

“Yeah,” he said.

Why?

“The thing that we say, if you want a chance to play for the national championship, you’d better make the assumption that you win every game, and be your champion,” Tressel said.

That doesn’t mean he’d turn down a rematch bid if Michigan beat him Saturday.

“I think it would be fun,” Ohio State safety Brandon Mitchell said. “The rivalry is unlike any other.”

A Michigan loss, said receiver Anthony Gonzalez, wouldn’t mean the season is “a complete failure.” Not when the bowl scouts can extend a championship bid two weeks after that loss on Dec. 2.

It’s not right that the second-place team in the Big Ten might have a better chance of playing for the national championship than, say, undefeated Rutgers. A better chance than Arkansas, if it won the SEC.

But at No. 7 in the BCS, the Hogs are, historically, a fringe team. That’s because no team has ever come from lower than No. 7 in the BCS in November to play for the title. That history would also exclude possible conference champions — No. 8 West Virginia (8-1), No. 12 Broncos (10-0) and No. 16 Wake Forest (9-1) at this point.

Might as well throw No. 9 Wisconsin in there. If Ohio State loses Saturday, it would fall into a second-place tie with the Badgers (7-1). Michigan beat Wisconsin earlier this season. The Badgers and Buckeyes have not met. Both would have lost to Michigan.

Only one, though, could get a rematch.

The commissioners keep harping that the BCS has created a week-to-week playoff. True, but it also has devalued the conference championship.

In college basketball, conference titles have become like potato chips. You consider them, you consume them, and then they’re forgotten.

That’s what makes college football different. It’s the reason Michigan and Ohio State celebrate all those conference titles.

Only the BCS celebrates second place.

Consumer Protection In The Form Of A Used Car Lemon Law

Lemon law was created to protect consumers from faulty and defective automobiles. Used car lemon law refers to legal support to consumers from buying used cars that turn out to be lemons. According the used car lemon law, the dealer needs to provide a written warranty. The written warranty as per used car lemon law ensures that the dealer shall repair, free of charge, any defects in covered parts or, at the dealer’s option, provide reimbursement for the reasonable costs of such repairs. If the dealer is unable to repair the car after a reasonable number of attempts, then according to the used car lemon law consumer is entitled to a full refund of the purchase price.

Several norms govern the enactment of the used car lemon law. Different states have different used car lemon law. Some states in United States do not enforce used car lemon law. Various norms for used car lemon law are that the vehicle should have been purchased, leased or transferred after eighteen thousand miles of operation or two years from the date of original delivery, whichever occurs earlier.

The vehicle under used car lemon law should also have been leased from the same state where the law is enforced. The purchase price of the vehicle under used car lemon law should have been purchased or leased at least at a price of $1500. The vehicle should be primarily for personal use and should have been driven 100,000 miles or less at the time of purchase or lease.

According the used car lemon law it should be primarily for personal use or for the use of family or household purpose. Used car lemon law is not applicable to cars purchased from individuals or independent sellers.

Under the used car lemon law, a dealer is any person or business which sells or leases a used car after selling or leasing three or more used cars in the previous twelve month period. Banks or other financial institutions, except in the case of a lease, are not included. Similarly, a car purchased from a retail auto auction is also covered. In such a case the auction company should be registered with the Department of Motor Vehicles. During any sales by an auction company or the dealer, the seller must provide the lemon law warranty at the time or before the sale. In cases where a dealer fails to give you the written lemon law warranty, the dealer is nevertheless considered to have given the warranty and you are entitled to all the protections under the law.

The used car lemon law sets only the minimum obligation for the dealers. However, a dealer may choose to provide additional warranty or may limit the coverage of the vehicle under warranty. The exclusion may include service or repair asked for due to consumer negligence, vandalism negligence, collision, abuse or theft, etc. Exclusion can also be for motor tune-up or repairs asked if the odometer has been tampered. There can be other several exclusions depending upon the dealers warranty provided.

Different states have different contact points or toll free numbers where the consumer can obtain free information about used car lemon law. One needs to check out the contact numbers for a particular state where the used car lemon law needs to be enforced.

Locating Low Rate Home Improvement Loans

The first thing to think about when looking for a low rate home improvement loans is if you are going to search local bank, finance companies or by searching online for your loan purposes. When searching your local bank for low rate home improvement loans, most banks will offer you the loan you are eligible for, but if you are a customer with good standings or above average credit, they may offer you better flexible repayment terms as well as lower interest rates. Rates may vary from lender to lender so ask for quotes from as many local banks as you can. When going through finance companies, these types of companies may be able to offer a lower rate since they do not provide other banking services like local banks do.

Local banks have interest rates and loan terms that can very from one bank to another just like finance companies can vary from one finance company to another. Another way to locate low rate home improvement loans is by searching online. When searching for a low cost loan online, start by searching for the kind of loan you are looking for in your Internet browser. Your search should show many results with several lenders willing to lend you funds for the kind of loan you are looking for. Be sure to compare each quote side by side before you choose the right one. Make sure you get the right loan rates and flexible terms you desire.

Interest, Equity And The Low Rate Home Improvement Loans

When you are applying for low rate home improvement loans, you may have a good chance obtaining a low interest rate and the opportunity off borrowing a larger amount of funds depending on the type of collateral you offer. The reason being lies in the amount of equity you have built up in your home. The amount of equity depends on a calculation of what your home is worth and how much you have left to pay of your home. When using your home equity to apply for low rate home improvement loans it allows you to borrow larger amounts on funding for major home improvements. Some lenders will offer you low rate home improvement loans with low interest rates no matter what your credit rating is if you offer a larger amount of collateral verse the amount you are intending on borrowing.

So if you want a low interest rate loan then offer a higher value home equity for a smaller amount loan. Please remember that by using the equity you have built up gives the lender a legal claim to your house that is second only to the original mortgage. So you need to be able to keep your payments up and not become delinquent. Should you become delinquent, the lender will attempt to collect what you owe by repossessing your collateral to pay off your remaining balance. When the home sells, the funds will be used to pay the remaining loan off and cover any additional fees that arose when marketing the house.

Travel sites can offer the best advice and information when it comes to booking your holiday

Within the last decade, the number of holidays taken by people has skyrocketed; but while this trend owes much to the increasing affordability of air travel, it’s also important to consider the immense role that travel websites have played in the holiday industry revolution. In fact, as the internet has continued to flourish as a valuable source of information for large numbers of the world’s population, the emergence of online travel sites has become a vital planning and booking tool for prospective holidaymakers.

New research conducted by Nielsen/NetRatings on behalf of Harvest Digital and Adviva surveyed a selection of UK consumers, confirming that the World Wide Web has now become one of the most important portals for people looking to plan and book holidays. According to the research, 55 per cent of internet users in the UK book their holidays online; furthermore, 9 per cent of internet users book their holidays on the high street after conducting their own research online, while 17 per cent of users will carry out research online prior to booking their holidays via the telephone. The research also found that two thirds of internet users take two or more holidays a year – proving just how important travel websites have become within the worldwide tourism industry.

Today, online travel sites have become much more than simply another, less expensive portal through which holidaymakers can book cheap flights, hotels and tour packages. In fact, modern travel websites now provide travellers with a wide range of information and hard-to-find data so that they can better plan their leisure trips. In the USA, for instance, the American Automobile Association (

) website offers visitors a comprehensive travel service for road trips across the country; it recently became the first online travel planner to list local gas stations in America – and it is additions like these that prove how important information on travel sites can be to prospective holidaymakers.

Many other travel websites offer destination guides to internet users, as well as providing vital information on inter-continental rail trips and cruises. By offering this sort of information, travel sites have made themselves indispensable to the majority of internet-using travel consumers. The variety of online travel websites that are now available also means that whatever type of holiday you’re after, you’ll surely be able to find it online. For instance, if you’re looking for a site from which you can book short breaks to a range of locations across the UK and globally, the internet has plenty to offer you. Simply make sure that you research your holiday and accommodation options carefully on the internet – you might find the holiday deal of a lifetime!

Women’s Health Advice: Discover Anti Aging Vitamins

Women age as their body cells die and when new healthy cell generation is hindered simultaneously. Premature aging can result from inadequate nutrition caused by years of poor dietary habits. Why? Because our bodies need certain amounts of vitamins to produce healthy cells and repair damaged cells. For many women, healthy cells can promote anti aging more than anything else

Free Radicals: Enemies to Your Anti Aging Efforts

When your diet lacks the vitamins needed for healthy cell rejuvenation, it will produce high amounts of free radicals, or highly reactive oxygen molecules. Free radicals will attack your healthy cells, thus, accelerating the aging process. Foods high in fat content, pesticides and ultraviolet radiation exposure can also contribute to free radical production and hinder your anti aging efforts.

Vitamins for Anti Aging

Vitamins have been a source of good women’s health for years, but new discoveries through the cutting edge science in genomics reveal that certain amounts of vitamins are needed to promote healthy cell rejuvenation and anti aging. Let’s look at some of the anti-aging vitamins below.

Antioxidants

Some of the vitamins found in many berries such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, cherries and grapes are natural antioxidants that help rid your body of harmful toxins that can hinder your anti-aging efforts. Green tea is also a good source of natural antioxidants. Toxins are introduced to the body every day in the foods you eat and pollutants in the air. Though you cannot feel anything, toxins are well at work to destroy good, healthy cells and speed up your aging process!

Vitamin B3

Vitamin B3, or niacin, helps the body to convert calories from fat, protein and carbohydrates into energy. It aids in digestive functions as well as promotes healthy nerves and skin. This vitamin can be found in peanuts, yeast, eggs, meat, poultry and fish. It’s also one of the key ingredients for anti-aging supplements.

Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6, or pyridoxine, aids in brain function and the conversion of protein into energy. It can be found in pork, fish, poultry, eggs, soybeans, whole grains, bananas, nuts and seeds, and oats.

Vitamin Blends

There are also anti-aging products with vitamin blends that combine a number of cell-promoting vitamins into one ingredient. These vitamins are carefully measured to give you just the right amount for proper cell rejuvenation. Thanks to cutting edge science in genomics, companies are now able to include just the right balance of vitamins for each cycle of life.

Reduce Dairy Product Intake

Dairy products such as milk and cheese contain Casein, which is a common food allergen that depletes immune cells. Replace some of your dairy products with other calcium-rich foods such as soy, juice, rice, salmon, sardines, broccoli, and collard greens.

Other vitamins that promote anti aging and healthy cells include Vitamin E, Selenium, Vitamin K and Vitamin C.

As you can see, vitamins are essential for skin beauty, strong bones and joints, and healthy cell generation. With all the new anti aging products, it’s easier than ever to get all the vitamins you need.

Learn The Latest On LASIK Technology Used In Lasik Eye Surgeries

We live in a time of seemingly endless innovation and rapid technological progress. It is hard enough to keep up on the latest e-mail filters and cell phone video cameras, much less such specialized medical procedures as LASIK eye surgery.

But if you are considering laser vision correction of any kind’the popular and effective LASIK procedure or, if you are not a good candidate for that, an alternative such as LASEK or PRK’then it is no longer just a matter of passing interest. It is your responsibility to be an informed, prepared patient for any kind of surgery, so you need to learn the latest on LASIK technology used in LASIK eye surgeries as part of that preparation.

The best doctors and clinics want to ensure the very best possible results for their LASIK eye surgery patients, which often means having not one but several different kinds of equipment. There are technologies that are more appropriate for some patient conditions than others, which is why many practices are equipped with several examples of the latest equipment available.

There are at least five or six kinds of laser eye surgery equipment being used widely in the field today, and others are being developed all the time. Medical research and technology continues to make breakthroughs that improve and maintain people’s quality of life, and the last few years have been particularly good ones for advances in LASIK treatment.

The WaveScan? Wavefront? System used by many specialists in LASIK eye surgery works by creating a ?map? that shows how your optical system, as a whole, processes perceived light. This results in something akin to a ?fingerprint? of each eye’s unique vision profile, meaning that each of your eyes can be treated for their own special imperfections during the LASIK eye surgery.

The VISX? Star S4? laser, according to many of its proponents, brings a new standard of accuracy to laser vision correction with a combination of two different systems known as Variable Spot Scanning and 3D ActiveTrak?. With a laser calibrated to .25 microns, this hybrid system offers astonishing precision, and can treat many borderline conditions that were once beyond the scope of other technologies. (For comparison, human hairs are 60-80 microns in diameter.)

CustomVue? systems match a specially created profile (again, a kind of ?fingerprint?) of your vision to an ?ideal? optical system. Once again using the VISX? Star S4? laser, this profile data ensures precise, uniquely personalized LASIK eye surgery. If you are one of the particular LASIK patients who qualify for this kind of procedure, CustomVue? allows the surgeon to eliminate microscopic flaws in your vision that cannot be corrected with either glasses or contact lenses.

One of the newest developments on the LASIK eye surgery scene is the IntraLase? laser. It uses a special technology and method for creating the corneal flap required in laser vision correction surgery. Replacing a standard metal blade, the IntraLase? laser produces a very precise flap.

As with all advances in medical technology, doctors performing LASIK surgery need training on new systems before they can offer the procedures. Patients, too, need to stay abreast of technological progress, and reading the wealth of articles available at a site like DocShop.com is a good start. However, only your doctor can make appropriate recommendations for your treatment. Being an educated and prepared patient is the best way to ensure a successful laser vision correction procedure?and the attainment of clear, unaided vision as a result.

College Football Week #13: Ohio Revisited

For the first time this season, I’m returning to a well that ran dry.

Back in Week 10, I took Frank Solich’s Ohio University Bobcats, giving 6.5 points to Eastern Michigan. Alas, Ohio won 16-10. And I said: argh.

But I still love the story over in Athens. The Bobcats just clinched the MAC East, and will play Central Michigan for the overall MAC title next week. Just winning their division gave Ohio their first football title of any kind since 1968. All those people who thought the University of Nebraska were morons for dropping Solich after some pretty successful years can feel smart; in just his second season at the Bobcats’ helm, Solich has led this program to heights not even Jim Grobe (currently winning raves as Wake Forest’s head man) reached here in the late 1990s.

All that’s left for the Bobcats before the title game is some unfinished business with their archrivals, Miami of Ohio.

This hasn’t been much of a rivalry of late. The RedHawks have won six straight over the Bobcats, and 11 out of 12. But this season, the tables have turned. Miami (OH), a perennial MAC powerhouse over the past decade and the former home of Ben Roethlisberger, has suffered a bevy of injuries, and will post its first losing season since 1994: they’re 2-9 overall, and 2-5 in the MAC. Meanwhile, Ohio is 8-3 overall and 6-1 in the conference, their first winning season since 2000. The Bobcats are a superior team, but the question is: with nothing but pride to play for, will Ohio rest its best players just six days away from the MAC title game?

Solich says no. He and the Bobcats want to win this game badly. Star running back Kelvin McRae has a six-game streak of 100+ yards rushing, and he wants it to continue. Ohio also has a four-game streak of allowing 10 points or fewer to opponents, and a six-game winning streak overall. And most importantly, there’s the fact that this is a game against Miami, a school that’s absolutely waxed the Bobcats over and over the past decade. Check out the last five scores: 38-7 (2005), 40-20 (2004), 49-31 (2003), 38-20 (2002), 36-24 (2001). If this truly is going to be a dream season in Athens, Ohio University has to beat Miami of Ohio, and beat them soundly.

Even better, Ohio’s strength, running the ball, matches up perfectly with Miami’s greatest weakness. The Bobcats average 148 yards rushing per game; the RedHawks allow 162 a game. What Miami has done best is stop the pass, but you won’t see Ohio try and throw more than, say, 15 or 20 times all game. And while Miami is an extremely pass-happy offense (35 attempts per game), the Bobcats have allowed just 160 passing yards per game, second-best in the MAC and 12th-best in the nation. Solich’s team dominates time of possession with its running game, rarely throws to the wide receivers, lets the quarterback (Austen Everson) run with impunity, and isn’t going to blow anyone out of the water. But the defense has been extremely solid (especially against the pass), and over the team’s six-game winning streak, only the Big Ten’s Illinois has out-rushed them. Meanwhile, Miami is extraordinarily banged-up, especially on its offensive line: Charlie Norden and Matt McKeown are out for the year, which has led to Miami allowing 46 sacks in 11 games.

The RedHawks aren’t as bad as their record. They took Purdue to overtime, let Western Michigan get away on a late field goal, and should’ve beaten Ball State, but for a late drive and a one-yard TD pass as time expired. Their average margin of loss in their five MAC defeats has been below five points. But they’re also 4-10 against the spread in their last 14 as underdogs, 1-4 ATS in their last five home games, and 0-3 straight up (albeit by a combined seven points) in home MAC games this year. Meanwhile, Ohio is 5-1 ATS in their last six overall, 5-2-1 ATS in games following an ATS win, and 4-1 ATS in their last five conference games. In fact, as the momentum got rolling for Solich & Co., the only ATS loss they had was, well, the half-point ATS loss in which I picked them in this very column.

Was that freak happenstance, or did I curse them? We’ll find out, because I like Ohio this week, too. I certainly don’t expect a major-blowout win, because that’s not what the Bobcats do. But I expect the Ohio U. contingency to travel well the three hours from Athens over to Oxford, and I expect the Bobcats to be far more motivated than your average division-already-clinched participant. I think the line’s a little low because folks expect the Bobcats to rest for the MAC title game, but I don’t think that happens. Instead, Ohio grinds it out, takes a 10-point lead into the fourth quarter, and stares right into the faces of the big bad RedHawks, and exorcises a decade’s worth of demons. I’m taking Ohio (-3) at Miami (OH) to cover on their way to the conference title tilt.

Last Week: Going into Saturday night’s contest in Cincinnati, the nation wondered whether Rutgers could stand up to the national scrutiny involved in possibly seeing the dominoes fall perfectly, and thus whether the Scarlet Knights were ready to tackle Ohio St. in the national title game. Guess we got our answer, huh? I jumped on the Rutgers train in a big way, then watched as the Bearcats schemed Ray Rice out of relevancy, and let Rutgers QB Mike Teel self-destruct. And did he ever. Rarely has an undefeated team crumbled so badly as the Knights did last weekend, and I wasn’t the only sucker who got taken down with them in their ridiculous 30-11 defeat as a 6.5-point favorite. As a result, we’re 7-5 against the number for the season.

Starting An Online Internet Business – 7 Tips To Make It Easier

For several years I did research online to find the real internet “gurus” to learn how to start an online business. After finding all the scams, my head began to hurt. Luckily, I did not fall for any of them. Finally, I stumbled across some legitimate resources and the pain subsided. The information I found lead to more information which lead to even more information. Obviously, my head began to hurt again. I was suffering from information overload! Everything that I saw I had to learn about. The problem was, I was trying to learn too many things at once.

There are many ways to earn money online. Among the most popular are online stores, affiliate marketing, internet auctions and selling information products or e-books. I have subscribed to newsletters, read e-books and even listened to tele-seminars to learn about all of these and more. In the process of learning, guess what happened? I was reading about the success of others and becoming very frustrated with my lack of success. I have learned some lessons along the way. Here are some tips, I hope you will find helpful:

1. Learn one thing at a time! Interested in selling products on an online auction? Learn about that first! If you do not know where to start, go to the auction website. There are tutorials that are broken down into simple steps to help you. They want you to be successful. After all, if you make money, they make money!

2. Find something that interests you and sell it. It’s not a good idea to try and make money doing something that you hate. You won’t be successful. If you are not a fan of movies, selling dvds is probably not a good idea.

3. Start a business that you can afford. Is money tight? There are ways to start a business with very little money. Later you will be able to invest more. Need $50 for an e-book you have been dying to buy? I used to give up things that I didn’t need like the impulse items at the store checkout line to save money to buy resources. Read about the resources before you buy them. Look up the titles on the search engines and get some feedback. Also, a money-back guarantee is a huge plus! You cannot afford to waste money on information that is not helpful. Never ask someone for your money back for information that you have found to be well worth it. They may be a great contact or resource to help you make more money later! Besides, do unto others!

4. Set realistic goals that are well defined. Keep it simple, especially if you are just starting out. For example, you could set a goal of seven days to sign up for an account on an online auction site and find three things in your own home to sell just to learn how the process works. For a long time, I had so many broad, complicated goals that I could not reach them. I may as well have had no goals at all.

5. Have a positive mindset! If you think you are going to fail, most likely you will. Avoid listening to others who tell you that you can’t do it. Talk with others about your business who are positive. Believe me, it really helps! One day I made the statement to a co-worker that I was going to make a living online one day. She told me that she knew I would too because I wanted it so much. Her reassurance helped to motivate me even more. A positive attitude can be very contagious!

6. It is not easy! If you are looking to get rich quick, good luck! You will read about people who have made a lot of money quickly online, but not without effort. Yes, there are some who, if they went bankrupt today, could be fairly wealthy soon. However, most of these people are experienced online entrepreneurs. What I have found is that if you enjoy what you are doing, it will become easier.

7. Take action! One of the biggest mistakes that I made was doing so much research, that is all I was doing. The funny thing is, most of the information I read told me to take action but I didn’t listen. I had a million reasons why I couldn’t just go ahead and start making money online. I didn’t know enough yet or I had not saved enough money. I learned the most by actually doing what I had only been dreaming about before.

By following these tips, I know you will find success online even if you just want to earn some extra money. If you make some mistakes, and you probably will, learn from them and use it as a tool to become more successful.

Cleaning Your Birdcage

Your bird, like any other pet, needs a clean and safe environment to live in to remain healthy, happy and fit. Your bird cage should be cleaned daily and you should observe if any changes occur inside the cage, such as excess feathers on the bottom of the cage. The daily clean should include a simple change of the liner and cleaning out of food trays etc. As well as the daily clean, a bird cage should have a thorough cleanout every 4 – 6 weeks.

Firstly you need to take out your bird. This seems pretty obvious but it must be done. You then need to take out all the loose items inside such as feeding trays, baths, perches and toys. These items need to be cleaned very well! Firstly, all excess dirt such as droppings should be removed, you can then begin cleaning with a NON toxic cleaner. Common dishwashing liquid should be acceptable for this process, but make sure everything is thoroughly rinsed off afterwards. Another product that can be used is common household bleach; use around half a cup of bleach to a gallon of water to clean down the cage.

Some cages may have a removable bottom, so take this out and remove all the filth from it, if not you should remove any liner from the bottom of the cage. The cage can now be totally washed, this can be done in any tub or simply outside with a hose. Again use a NON toxic cleaner and scrub down every part, including the wire cage, as food stuffs and bird droppings can get caught up in it. All parts of the cage should be rinsed afterwards, and it is better if it is left in the sun to dry off completely.

Any item inside the cage such as feeders that do not come clean should be discarded and replaced with new or clean items. This can stop any potential diseases or foodstuffs from remaining inside the cage. Dirty feeders can be very unhealthy for your bird. After all of the items are clean, place them back in the cage and replace the liner at the bottom. Newspaper is the best option for liner, but remember to only use black and white paper, as some colored text can be toxic to birds. You are now done and can replace your birdie, just remember if there are any problems or inconsistencies consult a vet or your local pet store.

And for a random fact:

What start with S, ends in T and is at the bottom of every bird cage………

Answer: Shell Grit

Tools And Supplies You Need For Home Improvement

No matter what home improvement or repair project you are working on, you will need a variety of tools. The tools are among the most important aspects of any home improvement project. Here we will discuss some of the most common and important tools needed for home improvement.

With any home improvement or repair project, safety should be considered first. Some safety supplies to invest in include goggles, ear protections, masks, and gloves.

If you are planning on repairing or improving your walls and floors, there are a few specific tools that you will need. If you are redoing basement walls, you will need stiff-bristled brushes, a wire brush, and heavy-duty paintbrushes in order to protect the walls. You will also need materials waterproof masonry sealers, household cleaners, buckets and a sponge. For painting, you will need a stiff-bristled paintbrush, and possible masonry primer. If you are working on paneled walls you will need a hammer, chisels, wallboard knife, caulk gun, putty knife, framing square, carpentry knife, pry bar, rubber mallet, and nails.

In order to prevent leaking you will need a trowel or putty knife, a wire brush, vacuum, chisel, and a caulk gun.

For outside jobs, such as installing new gutters or drains, you will need a hacksaw, a good quality drill and bits, caulk gun, and scrapers.

For general indoor repairs you will need some basic tools including, drills, screwdrivers, hammer, scrapers, paintbrushes, pliers, awl, utility knives, a stud finder, a level.

For plaster repair you will need a paintbrush and a wallboard knife. This job necessitates more one-time supplies than tools.

Flooring jobs, such as replacing ceramic tiles require an awl, tile cutter, nippers, utility knife, compass, grout float, and mallet. For making sub-floor repairs you might need a caulk gun, drill, chisel, straightedge, trowel, square, and saw.
