Role of Information Technology in Growth of Business
Information technology (IT) refers to the management and use of information using computer-based tools. It includes acquiring, processing, storing, and distributing information. Most commonly it is a term used to refer to business applications of computer technology, rather than scientific applications. The term is used broadly in business to refer to anything that ties into the use of computers.
Mostly businesses today create data that can be stored and processed on computers. In some cases the data must be input to computers using devices such as keyboards and scanners. In other cases the data might be created electronically and automatically stored in computers.
Small businesses generally need to purchase software packages, and may need to contract with IT businesses that provide services such as hosting, marketing web sites and maintaining networks. However, larger companies can consider having their own IT staffs to develop software, and otherwise handle IT needs in-house. For instance, businesses working with the federal government are likely to need to comply with requirements relating to making information accessible.
The constant upgrade in information technology, along with increasing global competition, is adding difficulty and hesitation of several orders of scale to the business and trade. One of the most widely discussed areas in recent business literature is that of new organizational network structures that hold survival and growth in an environment of growing complexity.
Effective implementation of information technology would decrease liability by reducing the cost of expected failures and increase flexibility by reducing the cost of adjustment. The businesses reaction to the environment remains to be the vital determinant for its effectiveness. The capabilities and flexibilities of computer-communication systems make them gradually more appropriate to businesses by being able to respond to any specific information or communication requirement.
Information Technology is having impact on all trade industries and businesses, in service as well as in manufacturing. It is affecting workers at all levels of organizations, from the executives to middle management and clerks. Information technology is increasingly becoming a basic factor of all types of technologies such as craft, engineering, routine, and non-routine.
The advances in Information Technology would result in remarkable decline in the costs of synchronization that would lead to new, concentrated business structures. It enables the business to respond to the new and urgent competitive forces by providing effective management of interdependence.
In the near future businesses would be facing a lack and a redundancy of information called information glut. To solve the information-glut companies will need to introduce methods for selective thinning out of information. Improvements in telecommunications will make it easier to control business units dispersed over different parts of the world. Advances in telecommunications, would result in increased distance-communication. Indirect communication would be preferred for well-structured information for routine, preprogrammed and decision processes.

Why Do We Celebrate Fun Birthdays?
Apart from the obvious answer about why we celebrate fun birthdays… have you ever stopped to think about this age-old tradition?
Birthdays date way back in history to a time when people originally feared evil spirits. These evil spirits were thought to be more active on the day of your birth. Family and friends would gather in a circle around the birthday person and would chant and sing bringing them nothing but good thoughts. The giving of gifts was another to bring even more cheer and goodwill to ward off the evil spirits.
Noisemakers were also thought to have been used at these parties as another way of scaring evil spirits away. Torches or candles would be lit believing they were sending a prayer to the gods and when the candles were blown out it was thought that the smoke carried these prayers or wishes into the heavens, where they thought the gods lived, so they would be granted.
Looking back through history the only documented birthdays recorded are of kings and other noble dignitaries. The poorer people and especially children did not celebrate at all. Historians have explained this, as only nobility was wealthy enough to be able to afford such an extravagance as a party.
It is the Germans who have been given credit for starting to celebrate children’s birthdays. These celebrations were originally called “kinderfeste” meaning children’s festival.
A song called “Good Morning To You” written by Mildred and Patti in 1893 was almost totally overlooked until some one changed the words to “Happy Birthday To You”. This little song is now sung in almost every home somewhere in the world at least once a year.
In today’s society, fun birthdays are eagerly awaited by the young and older generation. It is a celebration that is now an occasion, not only enjoyed by family members but friends as well.
Nowadays parties tend to have a theme attached. They may follow the lines of a character in history, a children’s comic or cartoon character, a picnic in the park or just a an outing to the zoo.
Giving presents to the birthday boy or girl is still a tradition. However, in later years it has also been a tradition to give a small gift known as party favors, to every party guest as they leave. They usually consist of a few sweets and a small gift wrapped up in a themed bag or a container that may have been used for the party itself.
So next time it’s your birthday, you’ll know why your celebrating it!!!

How to Build Business Credit Despite Your Personal Credit
Business credit is more of a science than an art. The first rule for this science is that it is not the same as personal credit.
Many would-be and aspiring business owners are not aware that establishing credit for a business is just as important as establishing personal credit. They also do not realize that a business can have a credit score separate from their personal credit score.
There is a world out there designed specifically for the business entity with a whole set of different rules.
Many entrepreneurs start out accumulating excessive personal debt to finance a business. Within a few months or even years, they find that the business is a monster and needs more food, also known as financing.
With credit cards maxxed to the limit, business owners find themselves in a crunch and searching for ways to raise capital. This is difficult to do when the time is not taken to establish business credit first. Business credit is a crucial first step and foundation to build upon.
First, a business is not real. It really doesn’t exist until legal steps and processes are completed to say that it does exist. PEOPLE create businesses that have not been tested, employed or ever earned a paycheck. So, when you start a business and begin looking for financing, the bank WILL ALWAYS look at your credit because they can touch you (and your job, and your car, and your house…). You have a history. Your business does not.
They will pull YOUR credit report. Not the business. And do you know why? Because you have not established a business credit profile separate from your personal credit profile.
Can this be done? How does a business establish a credit profile separate from your personal credit profile?
There is a credit system that will help you:
1. Lease vehicles like Lexus or Lamborghini, with added tax benefits.
2. Get a business line of credit or Small Business Loan or Business Credit Card for expanded Advertising, Inventory and other expansions your competitors can’t get.
3. Invest in large projects like Commercial Property or Land or Construction that your personal credit isn’t enough to guarantee.
4. Protect your personal assets from that of the business by not having to sign, no personal guarantee.
5. Start over with a new credit file if you need to, instead of just being stuck with your personal credit report
Start new businesses you always wanted to start with Business Loans.
6. Separate your personal credit from your new shiny business credit profile
7. Get a new credit report for every business you start. Establish business credit that’s good even if you have poor personal credit (it’s true!)
Anyone who wants to establish a REAL BUSINESS, with CREDIBILITY that’s bankable ought to establish business credit.

The Easiest Way To Find Used Car Finance Options
The Easiest Way To Find Used Car Finance OptionsSubmitted By: Louis Rix
There are many factors that have to be taken into account when considering used car finance options. One of the biggest decisions you will have to make is setting the budget for the car. Being able to afford and repay any kind of finance is essential. If you go online before making any decisions regarding finance then you can get some good advice. A specialist website will offer all the information you need to help get the best deal possible and they can find you a loan much quicker than you as an individual can find it yourself.
A specialist has the knowledge of where to look when getting the cheapest rates of interest on your loan. They will be able to tailor the loan to the individual circumstances of the individual. In the majority of cases a specialist will know where to go for the loan but if not they are able to search with the whole of the marketplace.
The actual rate of interest that is offered by the lender will vary greatly. All lenders will take a look at your credit rating when offering used car finance and will then base the loan on this. If your credit rating is excellent then the rate of interest you will be given will be fairly competitive. However, if you have a poor credit rating then you can expect to pay a higher rate of interest. In certain circumstances you might have to take out a poor credit car loan and again the cheapest way is with the help of a specialist.
As we said before, the very first thing you need to do when looking to buy a used car is to determine your budget for used car finance. It is also just as important to stick with this budget and do not be tempted to go over it. You should remember that the loan will have to be repaid for as long as you take the terms over even if your current circumstances should change.
You should take the advice and use the tools which are to be found on a motoring specialist’s website to find how much a used car of the same make and model is going for. This will ensure that you will not pay over the odds for the car and so will not have to borrow more than needed.
Once you have determined how much you need to borrow and what used car finance options are available then you need to work out how long to take the loan over. You should always take out the loan over the shortest terms possible. By doing so you are reducing the amount of interest you will be paying. Even if the interest rate is exceptionally low it still adds onto the total cost. Once a specialist has found the best deal for your circumstances then make sure you read the terms and conditions associated with the loan. While a specialist will find the cheapest it is down to the individual to make sure that they known how much they will be repaying in full.

The American Tax Revolt of 2006
The American Tax Revolt of 2006
By
William Cate
Taxpayers are like frogs. As long as their government slowly rises taxes, few taxpayers will jump out of the pot. Local governments have abandoned the keep the frogs’ happy rule and taxpayers are jumping out of the tax pot in droves across America. The government’s motivation is the fact that few government agencies even believe that they have adequate funds to fulfill their mandate. Of course the bureaucrats concept of their mandate is usually at wide variance with the taxpayers understanding of the purpose of the tax. The justification for the rising property taxes is the housing price boom of the past few years.
In Oxford, NH, a local resident buys a tin-roofed hunting cabin with outhouse for $10,000. The outhouse has a terrific view of the mountains and the local tax assessor values the property at $200,000, based solely on its scenic mountain view. On the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe property taxes have risen by 135% in the past four years. This means that a homeowner of a 5,000-square-foot house is now paying $80,000/year in real estate taxes. The fact is Tahoe property values have gone up by about 80% around Lake Tahoe as property taxes have jumped 135%. Tax revolt is the inevitable response to runaway taxation.
In over 20 States, ballot initiatives and taxpayer lawsuits are on the agenda. These efforts reflect both residents’ distrust of how their property-tax dollars are being spent and public concerns that include the fact that rising real estate assessments are driving working-class people and older Americans, living on fixed incomes, out of their long held homes in popular towns and cities across America.
Local and state governments are increasingly reliant on property taxes as their primary tax revenue stream. Last year, those governments collected $339 billion, according to the Census Bureau, some $2,750 for every home in America.
South Carolina recently passed a law that caps the increase in property assessments at 3% per year. Many Georgia lawmakers are backing a measure to put a similar 3% cap in that State’s constitution. Idaho lawmakers are mulling over eight bills limiting property taxes. In Connecticut, state officials have ordered cities and towns that have seen property tax spikes to calibrate disputed assessments to “comparable” properties, based upon records of recent sales.
Tax caps are not new. In 1978, California’s Prop. 13 initiative capped annual tax assessment increases at 2 %/year, until the property is sold. California counties have responded by radically increasing fees, fines, licenses and other local assessments. The result is that a California homeowner can pay more for the fee to repair or improve their home than it will cost to do the work.
The initiative response in San Mateo County, the home to the northern end of the Silicon Valley is to put two measures on the local ballot. One would require that all County agencies post their books weekly to a publicly accessible website. The other measure would subject all fees, fines, licenses and other assessments to majority approval of the voters of San Mateo County.
Property taxes, sales taxes, fees and related assessments are taxes on unrealized gain. The taxpayer lacks an offsetting revenue source to pay the tax, as with State and Federal income tax. Lack of disclosure of the use of funds combined with a lack of voter involvement in the tax decision means that local governments have no incentive to be efficient or responsive. Taxpayers don’t see an improvement in local services as they watch their tax bite grow to unmanageable levels.
On the National level, tax policy has followed the frog motto. However, Government spending has been excessive. This excessive spending is a portent of future massive tax increases. I suspect that American voters will be in tax rebellion for most of the 21st Century. It’s past due time that the American Middle-class considers the future U.S. economy and plan accordingly.

Biometrics: The Future Is Here, Biometric Technology Has Arrived In The Security Industry
The future is here. Biometric technology has arrived in the home security industry, and we are excited to offer you the innovative Access Control biometric reader. In the old days, access to restricted areas was granted by metal keys and locks. Then technology progressed to ID cards and PIN numbers. But now you have the ultimate in access control.
What is a Biometric Reader?
?Biometric? comes from the Greek bios (?life?) and metron (?measure?). A biometric reader recognizes humans based on intrinsic physical traits. For example, a biometric reader can read eye retinas or irises, facial patterns, hand measurements or fingerprints.
Unlike keys, cards, or number sequences, access through a biometric reader cannot be transferred from person to person unless explicitly authorized.
How Does a Biometric Reader Work?
A biometric reader can be used as a stand-alone or a networked operation, perfect for home or office. An authorized person has their physical characteristic scanned and turned into a numerical algorithm which is then entered into a database. The authorized person must subsequently provide that same physical characteristic- for example, their hand, to be read and recognized by the biometric reader before access is granted.
Why Use a Biometric Reader?
A biometric reader is a more reliable security device than your average lock or keypad. Only the person authorized access can successfully pass a biometric reader. A key, card, or number sequence can be passed around or easily stolen. A biometric reader requires that the authorized person be physically present for access to be granted. Thieves and other criminals would have a difficult time getting past a biometric reader.
Other reasons to use a biometric reader:
1. It is affordable and user friendly, recognizing identity and granting access in less than one second.
2. Biometric reader can store information from 512 users (standard) up to 35,512 users (networked).
3. A biometric reader drives costs down while raising the level of security.
Biometric reader access control can be incorporated into your security system.

5 Vital Ideas About Your Personal Football Coaching Philosophy
What’s your football coaching philosophy?
The thoughts behind your philosophy are why you coach football. It helps you know what you’re attempting to learn and the knowledge you’re trying to pass to your players as you coach them. Obviously, you want to enjoy great experiences during each season. You want to ensure your players experience great things.
But negative challenges occur during even the best of seasons. Your football coaching philosophy is what helps you get through these challenges while still standing.
Here are five areas you must have a solid football coaching philosophy on:
- Offense
- Defense
- What to teach
- Scouting
- Organization
1) What is your football coaching philosophy when you have the ball on offense? Are you a “gun-slinger”? Will your team possess an aggressive passing attack where you try to strike fast and hard and pile the points up?
Or will you have a “ground it out” style? Get a 10 point lead, play the field position game and then sit on the ball and play keep away with the opposition’s offense.
There are pros and cons to these styles. They can be seen in the differing approaches of the Pittsburgh Steelers and St. Louis Rams. Pittsburgh’s Bill Cowher is a big believer in the grab the lead style and then bludgeon the opponent in the second half with the running game. He tries to keep the ball away from the opponent, shorten the game and hold the lead.
This style works well when you have solid defense. It also works better when you finally get a top flight QB like Big Ben Roethlisberger who can bail you out when your “D” doesn’t hold the lead for you.
The Rams ex-coach Mike Martz took the opposite approach with his “greatest show on earth” football coaching philosophy. He built an offense that could score at will, passing mostly. Running the ball was almost an after-thought in his offense.
Bottom line? You need to figure out what style fits you and your personnel. Do you have the big back or the quarterback who can sling it all over the field? In the youth leagues, you most likely have the running back. But if you happen to find that top QB, you may want to go with the passing style.
2) What’s your football coaching philosophy on defense? Do you try to employ an aggressive style attack where you blitz often and gamble a bit? Or do you play the “bend, but don’t break” style where you’re a bit more conservative and just try to limit the opposition to small gains, then force a punt?
Again, your own personal feelings and the type of players you have will ultimately help decide things for you.
3) There’s a ton of information to teach when it comes to coaching football, along with limited practice time. So you must to come to a football coaching philosophy on what you think are the most important aspects of the game you think need teaching. Prioritize your time on those main points and do your best at coaching them to perfection.
4) Take scouting of the opponent seriously. Once you’ve scouted, though, what’s your football coaching philosophy on exploiting their weaknesses? How will you go about devising a game-plan that will use your strengths to your advantage? You need to use your formations and personnel in ways that give your team the best chance at success.
5) You need to develop your own personal football coaching philosophy on how to organize your program. Everything from your practices to your off-season program. How will you find the best equipment for your team? Where will the money come from?
How will you deal with all your interactions with others? Everyone from your players to their parents to the referees to the rest of your community. How will you organize your assistants in order to delegate in a healthy way?
As you can see, there’s quite a bit to think about when it comes to developing your own football coaching philosophy. I can’t provide you the answers. All I can do is raise the questions and allow you to think things through until you come to your own successful conclusions.
And these are only the top five areas. Football coaching is an ongoing learning experience. Always be open to all sources that can help you get better.

Traveling Safely With Your Very Own Luggage
You’re ready for the big trip. You’ve got your tickets, wallet, and glasses and a tote full of light reading. But before you step out your door, here’s some important things to know about your luggage and traveling safely.
Check the condition of your luggage, looking for small tears in the fabric or around the seams. Check for broken parts and fix or replace any parts that may interfere with your luggage doing its best job. If you didn’t buy the cheapest luggage out there, you won’t have to worry as much about broken zippers, ripped seams and other factors that can make or break your trip. Stay away from luggage that sets you apart from others by being gaudy, fancy, gold-trimmed or in some other way puts a big red target on your belongings for airport thieves.
If you stick with basic black luggage, how will you be able to spot your luggage at Baggage Claim? Tie a bright scarf around the handle, or buy luggage tags that are brightly colored so you can spot your luggage and others won’t mistake it for theirs. Even better, thieves are not likely to nab the more distinctive bag, but would rather walk away with anonymous luggage.
Airlines today allow 2 bags per passenger with a maximum weight of 50 lbs. If you were planning on carrying one overweight bag (weigh it at home), you?d be better off traveling with two bags of lesser weight. You’ll endure more stress at the airport, but will avoid paying the excess weight fees airlines impose on overweight luggage. European airlines operate differently and some only allow 33 lbs.
Mark your luggage well with your ID. You’ll be glad you did if they are lost. You may also want to think about leaving a copy of your itinerary inside your luggage. If your bags are lost, airport personnel will have a good idea of where you are.
More likely than not, your luggage will be subject to TSA scanning. To help you get through this with a minimum of fuss, pack your items in clear plastic organizers. Place delicate items in sturdy, reusable packing, not wrapped up in your clothing. Make it easy for personnel to repack your item quickly and neatly.
With some savvy organization and a thoughtful planning ahead, you can ensure a safe and fun trip.

A Little Giant for Home Improvements
It has been estimated that 16 in every 1000 households undertake a major home improvement project each year. In 2001 alone, an estimated 13.6 billion was advanced in personal loans for home improvements, making it the third most popular reason for taking out loans. Unfortunately, while the numbers of residents looking to renovate, remodel, and improve their homes continues to increase, so does the number of accidents and injuries associated with those improvements.
It is vital to use all tools and equipment safely when carrying out home improvement projects, including both interior and exterior projects. Whether it’s a simple quick-fix or a major undertaking, using trustworthy tools and equipment is imperative for your safety and security. Little Giant Ladders creates all of their ladders and accessories with your safety in mind, which is seen in their complete compliance with OSHA ANSI A14.2 standards. Nothing is more important than trusting the equipment you are using, and with Little Giant you are guaranteed to feel completely safe while performing home improvement projects even while facing the following challenges.
Weight Capacity
When using any ladder, from a step ladder to an extension ladder, it is important to ensure that it is not being loaded beyond the weight capacity specified by the manufacturer. Little Giant Ladders are government-rated to hold up to 375 pounds but have survived stress testing of up to 1200 pounds with absolutely no structural failure. The incredible strength of each Little Giant Ladder is attributed to its make-up material, heavy wall, 6005-T5 aluminum, the very same material used in aerospace construction. Before using any ladder, make it a point to always check the weight limit. It is also important to note that the load capacity includes the weight of the person in addition to the weight of any materials they may be carrying.
Uneven Surface
When trying to get to those difficult areas located above an uneven surface, such as a staircase, it sometimes seems impossible to reach especially because traditional ladders are only built for use on stable and level surfaces. The Little Giant ladder is more than just another traditional ladder–it’s 24 ladders in one unique design. The Little Giant ladder is able to convert into a staircase ladder. Because each ladder is adjustable in one-foot increments, one side of the ladder is able to lengthen or shorten while the other side remains untouched. This allows for safe and secure use on stairs, curbs, or any other uneven surface.
Little Giant also produces an accessory called the Little Giant Leg Leveler which is an extra appendage that easily attaches to the ladder’s leg to provide better balance when working on unequal grounds. This ladder leveler is a safe and stable solution as it meets the same standards as each Little Giant ladder.
Working Freely
A challenge that several homeowners face is not having the needed space to set tools and equipment while positioned atop a ladder. This problem is especially apparent when painting high surfaces and you constantly have to climb up and down to refill the roller. Not only is it burdensome, but it’s also dangerous to climb up and down a ladder while carry an object. Little Giant has created a movable work platform that is rated to hold up to an incredible 300 pounds. This is sure to hold any tools or equipment you need – from paint to people. Not only will this platform give you space for your tools atop the ladder but it will keep you safe as you will no longer have to climb the ladder while carrying objects. Additionally, its unique design enables it to easily click into place when needed or to tuck away.

Atlanta Family Lawyers
This article provides useful, detailed information about Atlanta Family Lawyers.
Family law in the United States relates to family issues. It covers a very extensive set of issues ranging from marriage and cohabitation, to divorce and child custody. These days, even a happy occasion like a marriage involves a legal agreement between the parties in order to have a mutually beneficial future. In case of marriage, a premarital agreement has to be entered into, which is more or less a written contract that specifies how the property would be divided between the couple and how the alimony would be planned in case the marriage ends in divorce.
This agreement is based on several laws that protect the interests of the couple. These also include other issues like inheritance and power of attorney to make healthcare decisions. Even in cases of non-marital decisions where a couple decides to live together without getting married, a legal and formal contact may be entered into defining the legal rights of both partners in the relationship.
In any case, it is important to consult a good legal expert, more likely a lawyer who has specialized in the area of family law.
Even divorce cases, the settlement becomes easier if an experienced family lawyer is involved in the mediation process. Since a divorce involves several issues like property, inheritance, child custody, alimony etc, a good family lawyer could make the whole affair less messy and less time consuming.
Family law in Atlanta is determined by rules under the local, state and federal governments. To settle a family dispute smoothly, it is important to consult a good family lawyer who can provide advice as per Atlanta state regulations.
Information about Atlanta family lawyers is available in the yellow pages or through search engines like Google and Yahoo on the Internet. It is also available through advertisements of law firms in magazines and newspapers. The American Bar Association has a referral service that provides information about family lawyers. There are also attorney directories available on the Internet that provide comprehensive information about Atlanta family lawyers. Information can also be found through the county bar association and other professional law associations. Friends, family members or co-workers can also be a good source.

The problem with learning to do everything yourself is that you will never be an expert at any of the tasks. Not to mention the amount of time it takes to learn through trial and error. And let’s face it, some people just aren’t good at some things. Graphic arts might not be your area and attempting to dabble in it can result in poorly done graphics for your website.
Hiring a freelancer can be the best move you make in your online business. You will certainly end up paying for the service, but it is more than worth the cost if you can get your business up and running in days instead of months. The cost of doing things yourself is far higher. Imagine how much money you lose if you buy your domain name and web hosting and then spend 3 months learning to program HTML and create a basic website. That is 3 months that you earn nothing, but are still paying for!
You should hire a freelancer when it is more economical to do so than to try and learn the skill yourself. For example, you could certainly learn HTML and do your own website, but you will frequently run into problems and it can be difficult to get the scripts to do what you want them to. However, a freelance web designer should be able to create just the site you want in a week or less.
Freelancers come in all levels of expertise, most of which will be better than your own! You can go to places such as FindAFreelancer, Elance, and Rentacoder to look for freelancers that will do the job you can’t, for an affordable price. Just post your project and wait for the bids to roll in. You can also get freelancers for any area, from banner design to copywriting, so just decide which areas of your business you are unable to do effectively and hire someone to do it for you.
This is really the best way to get started in your ebusiness. Freelancers don’t have to be terribly expensive and just the fact that they are experts in their field doesn’t mean they are hard to get along with. Most freelancers will willingly work for a decent fee and make changes if you aren’t happy with the finished product.
Hiring a freelancer can be far more economical than you doing everything yourself. Instead, focus on your areas of expertise and get the business up and running and earning you money faster by hiring someone to help you out!
